After a successful fair last spring, the APS Adult Literacy and GED Program is hosting its second gathering for college, career and community services. The College, Career and Community Resource Event II will be held on Friday October 25, 2013 at the department’s main campus, located at 1757 Mary Dell Drive, Atlanta, GA 30316.
More than a dozen representatives from local colleges and community resource organizations will be on hand to offer information to graduates, students and the public about entering post-secondary education institutions and other career, training and economic development programs. The College, Career and Community Resource Event II will offer multiple workshops, including a financial aid workshop and an economic empowerment workshop conducted by the Urban League, that will focus on job skills training, entrepreneurship and housing.
