Atlanta Public Schools has developed a comprehensive plan to increase time and opportunity for students to receive the critical instruction lost this school year during the district’s six inclement weather days. In addition to traditional classroom instruction, students now have an opportunity to complete virtual lessons assigned by their teachers.
Using the district’s new student portal, myBackpack, which includes Microsoft Office, eBooks, and student digital tools, students can also receive supplemental lessons and materials.
APS students in grades 3-5 will find materials at http://tinyurl.com/apselementarysnow where digital resources aligned with curriculum standards in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies are located. These educational resources provide engaging ways for students to practice what they are being taught in class, from the comfort of home.
Students in grades 6-12 will find content through our new Connected Classroom course management system located at http://tinyurl.com/apssecondarysnow. Digital lessons will be loaded by teachers into each student’s personalized virtual learning environment for their use.
Students should use their APS student login to access their personalized virtual learning environment.

If you are experiencing difficulties accessing your child’s digital resources, myBackpack or Connected Classroom, please contact your child’s teacher – each teacher has access to student usernames and passwords.
