Carver School of the Arts 2015 Valedictorian Vanessa Rodriguez-Badillo is headed to Georgia Tech

Vanessa Rodriguez-Badillo is a dedicated student who has demonstrated her potential to excel not only in academics, but also in extracurricular activities. Vanessa is an exemplarily leader. She is a member of the National Honors Society of High School Scholars, National Beta Club, Carver High School Book Café, and Student Government Association. Vanessa is currently the student body president and a talented athlete. Most impressively, she co-implemented an ACT preoperational program that has helped more than 40 students at Carver. Vanessa is highly respected and admired by her peers for exhibiting integrity and honesty in everything she does. She often inspires her schoolmates to, “think outside of the box and to believe in themselves.” Vanessa has shown her potential through academic excellence and upholds the Valedictorian position with honor and pride.

Plans to Attend: Georgia Institute of Technology

Major: Biochemistry

Career Goal: Oncologist
