Beginning July 6, Atlanta Public Schools (APS) will pilot an online enrollment system for parents and guardians to enroll new students in school within a matter of minutes.
Available in English and Spanish, the online enrollment system allows parents to pre-populate their child’s enrollment information and confidentially upload documents to create a preliminary enrollment record. The system also uses the information to determine the student’s neighborhood school and to forward the enrollment application information directly to the school or enrollment site. Parents can self-select and choose to participate in the online enrollment pilot by visiting http://www.atlanta.k12.ga.us/Page/46037 and clicking the online enrollment link.
During the July 6-10 pilot, parents and guardians may begin the enrollment process for their student by visiting APS’ Center for Learning and Leadership, 130 Trinity Avenue, 2nd Floor, Atlanta, GA 30303. Parents can also start the enrollment process online to help shorten their in-person visit to the central office or home school, which is still required for APS staff to verify the student’s birth certificate and social security card documents and finalize enrollment. Parents will need to present residency documents and other required forms during this visit.
Registration and enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year also will be available at the APS Back-to-School Bash from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., July 25 at the Atlanta Metropolitan State College Easley Conference Center. The first day of school for APS students is Wednesday, August 5.
Traditional enrollment forms are still available at the enrollment site for parents without computer or internet access. For more information about enrollment, please call the Office of Student Relations at 404-802-2233.
