September 11, 2001 has forever changed the spirit of America. Since 9/11, many tributes and honors to those who lost their lives in that tragic day have transpired. But this year, groups of Atlanta Public Schools students uniquely honored those lost during the 9/11 tragedy.
To commemorate the 14th anniversary of September 11, J.W. Dobbs Elementary School students dressed in red, white, and blue to recognize this day and show love for their country. J.W. Dobbs Elementary Principal Dr. Charnita West also paid tribute to 9/11 by playing a rendition of Whitney Houston’s “Star-Spangled Banner” during the morning announcements. J.W. Dobbs Elementary School will forever remember how fortunate they are to live in America.
